Elle survient sans crier gare.</p>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">C’est vraiment une grande différence avec les autres types de surdités. Le phénomène est soudain, brutal. Cela est déroutant, bouleversant pour la personne qui vit un tel phénomène. Alors que le plus souvent la perte auditive est progressive, dans cette situation, il n’en est rien. <a href="https://mon-centre-auditif.com/blog/otospongiose?utm_source=Blog&utm_content=Article-131" target="_blank">L’otospongiose</a>, par exemple, est une pathologie qui touche les oreilles et s’installe par pallier. La perte d’audition se réalise lentement. La détérioration évolue en étape.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">La surdité brusque touche plus souvent une seule oreille</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">La surdité brusque se caractérise en touchant, la plupart du temps, une <strong>seule oreille</strong>. Plus rarement, les deux oreilles sont touchées. La gravité de la surdité brusque varie d’une personne à l’autre. </p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Les causes d’une surdité brusque</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n La surdité brusque est due à une atteinte de l’<strong>oreille interne</strong> au niveau de la cochlée ou du nerf auditif. Il est complexe pour l’ORL d’établir l’origine exacte d’une surdité brusque.</p>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">Les facteurs, les origines qui expliqueraient la surdité brusque sont pluriels et très différents. Une personne peut, un jour, souffrir d’une surdité brusque à cause : </p>\r\n \r\n <ul>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">d’une tumeur située au niveau de l’oreille interne,</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">d’un neurinome de l’acoustique (tumeur bénigne de l’oreille),</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">d’un traumatisme auditif ou un choc sonore (une exposition à un bruit très fort plus ou moins longtemps),</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">un virus ou une maladie qui peut atteindre et endommager l’oreille interne (les oreillons ou une maladie vasculaire peuvent provoquer une surdité brusque que l’on nomme idiopathique),</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">un stress intense et important peut aussi occasionner une surdité brusque.</li>\r\n </ul>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">Bon à savoir : un <strong>traumatisme sonore</strong> peut varier. Cela peut être un concert, un feu d’artifice, une explosion ou encore le bruit d’un airbag. </p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Comment se caractérise une surdité brusque ?</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">De manière soudaine, la personne ne perçoit plus les sons, les bruits et les voix. Elle aura de grandes difficultés à cerner les nuances des voix dans une conversation. C’est une sensation très étrange, stressante et déroutante.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Quelles sont les personnes les plus à risques ?</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n Tout le monde peut connaître une perte d’audition soudaine. Les personnes en très bonne santé et en bonne condition physique peuvent, si elles s’exposent à un bruit fort, <strong>risquer la surdité brutale</strong>.</p>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">Néanmoins, les personnes aux alentours de la cinquantaine qui sont soumises au stress et qui sont fatiguées sont plus à risque que les autres.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Une surdité brusque avec des symptômes ?</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">Plusieurs <a href="https://mon-centre-auditif.com/blog/signes-perte-auditive?utm_source=Blog&utm_content=Article-131" target="_blank">symptômes</a> peuvent alerter la personne. À noter que ces symptômes sont communs à d’autres maladies et pathologies auditives. Nous retrouvons : </p>\r\n \r\n <ul>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">les acouphènes,</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">les pertes d’équilibre,</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">les vertiges,</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">des douleurs ressenties dans l’oreille,</li>\r\n \t<li style="text-align: justify;">la perception des bruits est faussée comme étouffée.</li>\r\n </ul>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;">Bien que ces divers symptômes soient assez larges et peuvent indiquer une toute autre pathologie auditive, il est important de consulter un professionnel de santé : son médecin généraliste ou son <strong>ORL</strong>. Il ne faut, en aucun cas, laisser ces symptômes s’installer dans le temps.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Que faut-il faire si vous connaissez une surdité brusque ?</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n Consulter très vite.<br />\r\n Appeler pour prendre rendez-vous chez un ORL en urgence ou se rendre directement aux urgences ORL afin d’obtenir un avis le plus rapidement possible. Il est important d’être <strong>pris en charge rapidement</strong> dans le cas d’une surdité brusque. Plus la prise en charge est rapide, plus vous augmentez vos chances de guérison et de récupération.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">La prise en charge suite à une surdité brusque</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n L’urgentiste, l’ORL ou le médecin procédera à un examen complet de vos oreilles. Il s’agit de l’otoscopie. Le professionnel de santé prendra le temps notamment d’observer le tympan si celui-ci n’est pas perforé.<br />\r\n L’ORL peut mener divers tests, mais aussi demander à passer des scanners et autres examens.</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">Les traitements possibles suite à une surdité brusque</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n Le médecin prescrit souvent dans le cas d’une surdité brusque un traitement alliant vasodilatateurs (dilatation des vaisseaux sanguins) et corticoïdes. Il est aussi possible que de la cortisone soit directement envoyée dans l’oreille.<br />\r\n L’ORL peut chercher à <strong>stimuler la circulation sanguine de l’oreille</strong> de plusieurs manières (hémodilution, oxygénothérapie, etc.)</p>\r\n \r\n <h2 style="text-align: justify;">L’après</h2>\r\n \r\n <p style="text-align: justify;"><br />\r\n La très bonne nouvelle, c’est que l’on guérit assez bien de la surdité brusque. Seuls 10 % des patients connaissent des troubles auditifs durables suite à une surdité brusque. L’ORL vous confiera une prescription médicale et vous pourrez ensuite prendre rendez-vous auprès d’un audioprothésiste.
